Birds of a Feather are informal social gatherings around a common interest. They can be proposed by attendees when they arrive at the workshop.
To give you ideas of what to expect, examples from previous CDI Meetings include "Software Development Collaboration Area," "Diversity and Inclusion in the USGS," "Water MA Meet-and-Greet," "UAS/Drones/Data."
- There will be a whiteboard in a common area for you to propose a topic and location for your meeting.
- The workshop team will help to spread the word about the meetings during our plenary sessions.
- By default there is no A/V support or virtual component to these informal meetings, but you are welcome to speak with CDI Workshop staff onsite about what you would like.
- If a virtual attendee is interested in proposing a Birds of a Feather topic and Teams call at this time, email gs_cdi@usgs.gov and we'll see what we can do to help coordinate.
